Jesus,
So, I got WWE 2K14 for my 27th birthday when it was released. I've spent years tweaking and altering my CAW's and put off buying any of the more recent games until I upgrade my games system (still using 360) then this evening I was deleting an alt attire and the game froze! I didn't know what else to do, so, switched the xbox off and on again, returning to the game a message popped up and told me the data was corrupt. "What?! All of it?! Oh Jesus no!" My heart sank. 3 and a half years of CAWs and Universe mode gone. I don't have much of a legacy, but that was it. I nearly cried. I checked online, what does the message mean?
Oh, that one CAW is gone, shame, but he's based on my housemate, I can remake him, the entire roster isn't gone, but now, now I know what my legacy will be... creating a directory with all my CAWs with pictures and the formulas so when I do upgrade or when the 360 finally craps out on me, I'll be prepared.
So, that's been my roller coaster evening.

Jesus, So, I got WWE 2K14 for my 27th birthday when it was released. So, that's been my roller coaster evening. Damn buddy. You got very lucky. Same thing happened about a year ago with the ECW Superstars, game locked up on a save, and had to force shut down the PS3. When I turned it back on, kaput. Everything was gone. Looked up any possibility that the data could be recovered to hopefully save 100+ hours of work, but no dice. Turns out that IF ANYTHING the data could have been recovered from the PS3 Cloud service they offer, but of course. WWE 2k14 didn't allow cloud uploads for Save Data based off of some new updates. It was devastating. Glad to hear the entire roster isn't gone for you, honestly surprised you didn't lose everything but knowing how many CAW's you have likely created I can certainly feel your pain. That was a pretty terrible night realizing I had to get an episode out in a week and literally had nothing to use.. Glad it all worked out in the end, better to lose 1 CAW than 50+!

I can't imagine how devastating that must have been, and how disheartening at having to restart. I nearly bawled my eyes out when I thought I'd lost them all.
I'm assuming a consummate professional like yourself has formulas squirreled away someway in case of catastrophes like that?

I'm assuming a consummate professional like yourself has formulas squirreled away someway in case of catastrophes like that? Haha you'd think so! Not even close. Complete reconstruction of the roster from head to toe. Only had pictures to go from on previous episodes. It was absolutely brutal. Was actually devastated to hear the same thing happened to DWF, it's too bad he didn't try and re-create or at least upgrade games and re-create there. But I can understand the absolutely and hideously daunting task of re-creating an entire roster, especially when episodes are scheduled to come out. It was brutal, but well worth not giving up over. All cheesiness aside, the fans make it worth it

This once happened to me. But I lost everything. I had a load of CAWs saved for my own little show I had going, with the view of actually turning it into a YouTube show, but I turned my 360 on one night and everything from that save had become corrupt and I still have no idea why. I couldn't retrieve anything so I just let it go and never rebuilt the roster. It's a shame that things like that happen because creating CAWs is more work than some people think.
